On 15th and 16th May the Kingsbridge Group will be entering a team into the 2019 BIBA Hackathon. Featuring Nathan Halsey, Stuart Bell and Simon Wilkinson from Kingsbridge Contractor Insurance, John Clarke from Kingsbridge Insurance Brokers, Ed Woodcock from Dinghy and Matt Tyler from Larsen Howie, the team will join seven other groups from a variety of insurance and tech backgrounds to tackle challenges and work collaboratively in order to come up with some ground breaking innovations.
The Wednesday starts with the participants being given their challenges before spending six hours working collaboratively with their teams and the roving experts supplied by BIBA to come up with some InsurTech solutions. The action will take place in the Hack Box – a purpose built ideas box in the central foyer.
At the end of the first day judges will select the three best ideas to be presented in a dedicated Hackathon session on the morning of 16th May where the audience will be able to vote for their favourite.
BIBA is on a long-term campaign to demystify innovation for brokers and help their members stay relevant in a changing world. Their goal is to bring fresh thinking, new techniques and interesting tech into focus and within reach. With the Hackathon, the hope is to achieve all that and more.
